AirHUD™ is the first real Heads-Up Display for drone pilots

The Heads-up Display solution for drone pilots

Professional drone pilots can’t see their drones when they get more than 200m away. They become tiny specks in the sky at 100m and in low light they quickly vanish from view. Our patented software AirHUD™ is the first real heads up display for professional drone pilots giving them unlimited situational awareness and allowing them to see the drone in the sky at all times.

We use augmented reality to raise situational awareness to completely new levels. AirHUD™ enables us to display both visible and concealed data, such as distance to buildings, restriction zones, around the drone in real time by using AR glasses.

The pilots can keep their eyes constantly on the drone, increasing operational efficiency and safety by avoiding crashes. Our solution can help pilots perform missions or train drone pilots using simulations of drones for a variety of use cases.

Search and Rescue SIM VR

AirHUD™ enables the pilot to fly the drone even behind obstacles and still see their location and relationship to surroundings intuitively.

Firefighting

AirHUD™ makes it trivial to conduct night flights as the drone is always pinpointed in the air, no matter how far away.

Height indicators, including ultrasound / camera based short range detection, are always shown to allow for safe flights, even partially or totally beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).

Public organizations

AirHUD™ is your new ally in all missions related to search and rescue, security and even defense. Situational awareness is raised to new levels, for pilots, all their team members and the command center.

Inspection

AirHUD™ helps in all inspection missions and especially when visibility or distance are an issue. For example, performing a tank inspection is easier and faster as the pilot can follow live the areas that have been checked already. In a similar way, wind turbine inspection is faster and safer as the pilot always sees at what distance from the blade the drone is. Our ever expanding list of use cases include agriculture, mining, oil & gas, construction, filming and forestry sectors.

AirSkill

Introducing AirSkill – the ultimate VR solution for anyone looking to improve their drone flying skills. With our innovative software, you can fly a simulated drone anywhere you want, in any environment you want, no matter the weather.

Our cutting-edge software provides a safe and controlled environment for pilots to hone their skills, without the risk of damaging their drone.

This is impressive! Let’s integrate AirHUD with our Parrot drones so that our clients can get the benefits, too.

Anarky Labs’ solution combines use case, safety and drone operation information into a whole new level.

We did over 5000 flight missions last year. Everything from documenting crime scenes, producing overviews of tactical situations to operational command posts and large scale aviation operations in conjunction with for instance state visits. We see AR technology like AirHUD as the next logical step in improving how pilots manage their drones, improve situational awareness and improve safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

FPV headsets isolate the pilot from their environment. Where FPV headsets are totally enclosed and allow the pilot to see only the video, AirHUD™ allows the pilot to see everything: the surroundings, the video, the maps, the relevant drone data.
No, because even autonomous drones need to have a person in charge of the operation and ready to react to unexpected situations. AirHUD™ can help with taking over the control of the drone to solve the situation safely because the better situational awareness.
No, because there is always the need for a pilot responsible of the operations, being able to react. AirHUD™ can help with taking over the control of the drone to solve the situation safely because the better situational awareness.
We don't have access to your data unless you want to provide that access for analytics. AirHUD™ only shows the live video feed of the drone camera: anything that is recorded by the drone camera is stored in the drone, not in AirHUD™.
No, we believe the opposite: less strain due to easier observation of relevant information.
AirHUD™ uses local Wi-Fi connection between the controller and the headset. Our system is not related to the radio connection between the controller and the drone. Even if AirHUD™ would shut down, the drone would just stop in the air and you could fly back the traditional way looking at the controller (yes, it's terrible after you've used to AirHUD™, we know!).
Common XR headsets are currently not waterproof, but they can easily be protected from elements with the hood of a rain jacket. Extreme cold will drain the battery of a headset more quickly, but this can be solved by connecting the headset to a power bank. Therefore, use of AirHUD™ does not restrict your drone operations more than the drone itself does. Headset manufacturer recommendations should be followed. ques
You need a supported drone, an XR headset and a mobile Wi-Fi network (other than mobile phone recommended).
No, AirHUD™ does not modify the control of the drone and you still use the normal controller functions to fly the drone. ques
We do not store any data: flights logs are stored and destroyed automatically after 30 days. We do not look at them unless you request it.
AirHUD™ does not affect flight distance at all. Flight distance depends on the drone and controller radio connection, which is separate from the Wi-Fi connection between the controller and the headset.
No, the connection with the drone is through the manufacturer radio on the controller. The Wi-Fi connection is between the controller and the XR headset.
Yes you can, but AirHUD™ does not yet have the certification from competent authorities (FAA, CAA or EASA for example) to fly commercial BVLOS flights without a spotter. Many AirHUD™ users have the certification to fly BVLOS and have found that AirHUD™ is a good tool for that.
